Yes, I enjoy reading because it helps me relax and learn new things.
What kind of books do you like to read?
I like reading novels, especially mystery and adventure stories.
Do you prefer reading books or watching films? [Why?]
I prefer books because they have more details and I can imagine the story.
Have your reading habits changed since you were a child?
Yes, now I read more non-fiction and long novels than I did when I was younger.
Part 2 (Long Turn / Cue Card)
Describe an interesting conversation you had with someone. You should say:
who you had the conversation with
when and where you had it
what the conversation was about
and explain why you think it was interesting.
A few months ago, I had an interesting conversation with my grandfather. We were sitting in the garden at his house. He told me stories about his life when he was young and how things were so different back then. It was interesting because I learned a lot about my family’s history and how people lived without technology. It made me appreciate my grandparents even more.
Part 3 (Discussion) Topic: Communication
Is it easier for people to communicate now than in the past?
Yes, definitely — phones and the internet make it quick and simple.
Do you think face-to-face communication is better than online communication?
Yes, because you can see people’s expressions and feel closer.
How can people improve their communication skills?
They can listen carefully, speak clearly, and practise with different people.
