Part 1 (Introduction & Interview) Topic: Music

Do you like listening to music? [Why/Why not?]

Yes, I love it. It helps me relax and makes my mood better.

When do you usually listen to music?

I mostly listen to music when I’m studying, travelling, or exercising.

Did you learn to play a musical instrument when you were a child?

Yes, I learned to play the guitar when I was about ten years old.

Do you think all children should learn to play a musical instrument? [Why/Why not?]

Yes, I think so. It helps with creativity and can be a good hobby for life.

Part 2 (Long Turn / Cue Card)

Describe something interesting you did recently. You should say:

– what you did

– when and where you did it

– who you did it with – and explain why you think it was interesting.

Recently, I attended an online cooking class with my friends. It was last month, and we joined the class from our own homes. We learned how to make Italian pasta from scratch. It was interesting because I’d never cooked that before, and doing it with friends made it fun. We laughed a lot when things didn’t turn out perfectly. I think it was interesting because I learned a new skill and got to spend quality time with my friends, even though we weren’t in the same place.

Part 3 (Discussion)Topic: Free Time

Why is it important for people to have free time?

Because it helps people relax, reduce stress, and enjoy life more.

How do people’s free time activities change as they get older?

When people are young, they like sports or parties, but when they’re older, they might prefer quiet hobbies like gardening or reading.

Do you think people have less free time than in the past?

Yes, I think so. Many people are busy with work or studies and find it hard to take a break.
