What kinds of food do you like to eat? [Why?]
I like eating homemade food, especially rice and chicken, because it’s healthy and tastes fresh.
What kinds of food are most popular in your country? [Why?]
In my country, spicy dishes like biryani and kebabs are really popular because people love strong flavours.
Do you like cooking? [Why/Why not?]
Yes, I do. I find cooking relaxing and I enjoy trying new recipes at home.
Who usually does the cooking in your home? [Why?]
My mother usually does the cooking because she’s really good at it and loves taking care of us.
Part 2 (Long Turn / Cue Card)
Describe a film/movie you would like to watch again. You should say:
– what it was about – when and where you watched it
– who you watched it with
– and explain why you would like to watch it again.
One movie I’d love to watch again is The Pursuit of Happyness. It’s about a man who struggles with money problems but never gives up on his dream of getting a good job and taking care of his son. I watched it about two years ago at home with my family. We all sat together in the living room and really enjoyed it. I want to watch it again because it’s so inspiring and emotional. It reminds me to stay strong when life is hard and to keep working towards my goals. Also, the acting is amazing and I think it teaches a lot of important life lessons, so I feel I’d learn something new every time I watch it.
Part 3 (Discussion)
Topic: Watching Films
Do you prefer to watch films at the cinema or at home?
I prefer watching films at home because it’s more comfortable and I can pause if I need to.
Do you think people will watch films in the cinema more or less in the future?
Probably less, because online streaming is easier and cheaper than going out to the cinema.
What are the differences between watching films at home and watching them in the cinema?
At home, you can relax and talk freely, but the cinema has a bigger screen and better sound, which makes the movie feel special.
Topic: Technology and Films
How has technology changed the way we watch films?
Now, we can watch films anytime on our phones or laptops, which is much more convenient than before.
Do you think technology will change how we make films in the future?
Yes, I think there will be more special effects and maybe more films made with AI or virtual reality.
