Part 1 — Introduction & Interview (Topic: Hobbies)

Do you have any hobbies?
Yes, I love reading novels and sometimes painting when I have free time.

How much time do you spend on your hobbies?
I try to spend at least an hour or two every weekend doing something I enjoy.

Did you have any hobbies when you were a child?
Yes, I used to collect stamps and play outdoor games with my friends.

Do you think hobbies are important?
Definitely. They help people relax, reduce stress, and learn new skills.

Part 2 — Cue Card

Describe a time when you were very busy. You should say:

  • when it was
  • why you were busy
  • what you did during that time
  • and explain how you felt about being so busy.

A time when I was really busy was during my final exams at university last year. It was a very stressful period because I had to study for five different subjects at the same time.

Every day, I woke up early and spent almost the whole day in the library or my room, revising notes and practising past papers. I also had to prepare a big presentation for one subject, which took extra time.

I didn’t have much time to relax or meet friends. Sometimes I felt exhausted and worried, but I tried to stay positive. I made a strict timetable and took short breaks to stay focused. In the end, all the hard work paid off because I passed with good grades.

Looking back, I think being busy taught me how to manage my time better. It was tiring, but it made me feel proud of myself because I proved that I can handle pressure.

Part 3 — (Discussion) Topic: Busyness

Why do people often feel so busy nowadays?
Because they have to manage work, studies, and family at the same time. Also, technology makes people feel like they must always be available.

Do you think it’s important to have free time?
Yes, everyone needs time to rest and do things they enjoy. Without free time, people can become stressed and unhappy.

How can people manage their time better?
They can make a daily plan, set priorities, and avoid distractions like social media during work.
