Part 1 (Introduction & Interview) Topic: Neighbours

How well do you know the people who live next door to you?

I know them quite well — we often chat and sometimes help each other out.

How often do you see them?

I see them almost every day because we live close and sometimes meet outside.

What kinds of problem do people sometimes have with their neighbours?

People might have problems with noise, parking spaces, or pets causing trouble.

How do you think neighbours can help each other?

They can help by looking after each other’s homes, sharing things, or giving support in emergencies.

Part 2 (Long Turn / Cue Card)

Describe a time when you shared something with someone. You should say:

– what you shared

– who you shared it with

– why you shared it

– and explain how you felt about sharing it.

A time I shared something was last year when I shared my books with my cousin. He was preparing for his exams and didn’t have all the textbooks he needed. I had the same books from when I was studying, so I gave them to him. I decided to share them because buying new ones would have cost him a lot. I felt really happy to help him because he was very stressed about his studies. It made me feel useful and closer to him. In the end, he passed his exams with good marks, so I felt proud that my help made a difference.

Part 3 (Discussion) Topic: Sharing

Do you think children should be taught to share things?

Yes, because sharing helps them learn to be kind and think about others.

How can parents encourage their children to share?

Parents can set an example by sharing things themselves and praising kids when they share.

Do you think people are less willing to share now than in the past?

Maybe a little, because people today often focus more on themselves and their own things.
