Part 1 – Introduction & Interview (Topic: Daily Routine)
What is your daily routine?
On weekdays, I usually get up early, have breakfast, and go to work. After work, I like to relax by reading or watching a series before going to bed.
Do you usually do the same things at the same time every day?
Yes, more or less. Having a routine helps me stay organised, although sometimes I like to change things up on weekends.
What part of your day do you like most?
I like the evenings the most because I can finally relax and spend time with my family or friends.
Would you like to change your daily routine?
Yes, I’d like to include more time for exercise because I feel I sit too much during the day.
Part 2 – Cue Card
Describe a family celebration that you remember. You should say:
- what you were celebrating
- where and when it happened
- who was there
- and explain why you remember this celebration so well.
One family celebration I remember well was my sister’s wedding. It happened two years ago in my hometown. The ceremony was held at a beautiful hall decorated with flowers and lights.
All my close relatives, family friends, and even neighbours were there. It was such a big gathering and everyone was in a festive mood. We had delicious food, music, and a dance floor where we all danced for hours.
What I loved most was seeing my sister so happy. She looked beautiful in her wedding dress, and my parents were really proud. I remember helping with the arrangements, like decorating the stage and welcoming guests. It was tiring but also exciting.
I remember this celebration so well because it was full of love, laughter, and togetherness. Everyone forgot their daily worries and just enjoyed the moment. It brought our family closer and created memories that we still talk about today.
Part 3 (Discussion) Topic: Family and Celebrations
How important are family celebrations in your culture?
They’re very important. They give families a chance to gather, share joy, and strengthen their relationships.
Why do some people prefer small family gatherings to big parties?
Some people feel more comfortable with close family members because it’s more intimate and less stressful than a big event.
Are family celebrations the same now as in the past?
Not exactly. Nowadays, people sometimes prefer celebrating in restaurants or event halls instead of at home, and they may invite fewer people.
